SIGN-UPS FOR 6, 7, 8 GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL AND 7,8 GRADE GIRLS’ CHOICE WILL START TODAY IN THE CAFETERIA DURING LUNCHES AND START AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK. If you do not have a physical on file, make sure you get that over the break so you can start practicing right away!
The Youth Art Month Flag contest is underway…..Stop by the art room and pick up an entry form to work on over the long break. The theme is “The World Needs Art”. Please return to Mrs. Penfield by Friday, February 6, 2026, the winner will receive $100 to spend on art supplies.
The 8th grade LOTP class would like to thank everyone who bought items from our bake sales. You helped us earn $537.00! We will use most of the money to purchase fleece and make blankets for women and children who seek shelter at WAVI (Working Against Violence Inc.). The rest of the money will be donated to them.
Student Council is sponsoring dress-up days THIS WEEK before break. Here are the categories

It's Back!! “Get Caught Reading” Student Photo Contest – Students, we want you to catch yourself reading a book in an interesting or wacky position or location, use Photoshop, a photo app, Canva or just create your scene using the library’s green screen (see Mrs. Rath for details.) See examples outside of the library! The student who submits the most creative picture will win an Amazon Fire Tablet! The two runner-up winners will each receive $25. Due January 30, 2026, send your pictures to Shelley.Rath@k12.sd.us (email final jpeg or png).
